My
name is Kathleen, and I'm an incurable costumer.
What started off a few years back as a minor interest when I bought my aunt's old Kenmore sewing machine for $25 has grown into a full-fledged way of life. The obsession took a turn for the worse when I saw Peter Jackson's Fellowship of the Ring in December 2001. The fantastic costumes in that movie inspired me to try my hand at making similar pieces of my own. The costumes you see in the Gallery section linked above are the result of my hopeless love for all things Lord of the Rings. If you've come to my site as a result of one of the panels I did at Dragon*Con, welcome! Costumers, check out the "How To" link above for tips on pattern making and costume embellishment. Choristers, visit the Elf and Hobbit Choir page for sheet music and MIDI and mp3 downloads of the songs we performed. |
